Given that we have a new section on the Charlie's Honda website (our blog), we thought it only appropriate to kick things off with talk about a new Honda model. It won't be in our Augusta, ME showroom until the spring, but we've already learned quite a bit about the 2015 Honda Fit thanks to its American debut at the Detroit Auto Show.

First off, the style has clearly been updated. The new Fit is sporting a bolder front end, marked by a sleek headlamp and grille configuration and fun mesh detailing on the lower lip. Along the body there are accent lines that should appeal to your sporty sensibilities.

On the inside you'll enjoy even more interior room than before. That being said, the model has actually shed a few inches in length to offer better handling and improved maneuverability. The power rating has been increased by 13 more ponies, too. Even still, Honda engineers managed to make the all-new Fit even more fuel efficient than its predecessor. It has pretty much improved in every major area as far as our team can tell.

John Mendel, executive vice president of automobile sales for American Honda Motor Co., Inc. backs that up in explaining, "The Honda Fit is a small car with big aspirations. Faster, more fuel-efficient and more fun, it's a subcompact with larger-than-life-capabilities. It's simply the best Fit to date and, we believe, a new benchmark in the small-car category."1

It might sound like big talk, but even if you've driven the current Honda Fit, you know exactly where John is coming from. To get a feel for the latest hatch, stop into our showroom today. For more news about the next generation, keep an eye on our blog and we'll keep the updates coming.
