The New 2021 Honda Civic | Features, Performance, Inventory

The 2021 Honda Civic is an Excellent Sedan or Hatchback for Portland Drivers

Honda cars are a great choice for Maine drivers thanks to their many safety features and climate control options. The 2021 Honda Civic in particular is fantastic for young professionals in Camden who want an affordable but reliable sedan or hatchback. Charlie's Honda is here to bring you the best options from Honda for our community.

What's New for 2021?

The 2021 Honda Civic is largely a refresh of the model line. The coupe body style has been dropped in favor of the sedan and hatchback bodies. No other changes are worth noting, as they are all minor improvements.

Feature Highlights

If you're worried about cold winters, the automatic climate control system can be upped to a dual-zone climate control on the 2021 Honda Civic EX, and you also get heated seats at this trim level and up. No matter what, the rear seats get heater ducts, so you don't have to worry about cold rear passengers.

A leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob are standard on the 2021 Honda Civic Sport, giving you a comfortable grip. Leather-trimmed seats are just two trim above that on the 2021 Honda Civic EX-L.

Infotainment Features

Most trims come with a 180-watt audio system with eight speakers, which provides resonant sound to the whole cabin. This lets you enjoy listening to music through Bluetooth® or available Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™, and you can upgrade to the 450-watt premium audio system with ten speakers and a subwoofer for the best aural experience.

When a compatible device is connected, you can use the available seven-inch touch-screen, knob and hard keys to configure settings, change music and find directions to your next Waterville destination. On the 2021 Honda Civic Touring, you get the Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System™ to find your way with or without your phone, and you can ask it for directions thanks to its voice recognition.

Safety Features

The 2021 Honda Civic comes with Honda Sensing® technologies to assist with safe driving. The car's computer uses a suite of sensors to detect imminent collisions, lane departures and nearby cars to provide warnings and minor driving assistance. Honda Sensing® also includes Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow so you can effortlessly cruise down the highway.

The standard engine on the 2021 Honda Civic is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that provides 158 horsepower and 138 pound-feet of torque. As long as you don't plan on going off-roading, this should be plenty for driving around Auburn. On the 2021 Honda Civic EX and above, though, the engine is upgraded to a turbocharged 1.5-liter engine that generates 174 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque.

Although the 2021 Honda Civic does not have an available All-Wheel Drive option, Vehicle Stability Assist™ with Traction Control, other safety technology and the balance of weight over the driven wheels make up for this and allow the 2021 Honda Civic to perform just as well as some All-Wheel Drive vehicles in slippery conditions.
